Betsy Tait

Orientation and Mobility Specialist (COMS)

Betsy Tait has been working at ACBVI for over 20 years as a certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist (COMS). She grew up in Ohio and received her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Kent State University. She then received her Master’s degree in Blind Rehabilitation at Western Michigan University. Betsy completed her internship at Hines VA Medical Center near Chicago, Illinois. Betsy currently teaches O&M to clients enrolled in ACBVI’s comprehensive pre-vocational skills program called PRIDE. In addition, she teaches O&M skills to people who are trying to maintain their independence in their home and community. Outside of work, she enjoys time spent with her family and friends.
