Frank Vance

Director of Rehabilitation Services

Frank Vance, a third generation native of Arizona, came to ACBVI in 1985 when he became our Counselor/Social Worker. He has degrees in Psychology and Counseling from Arizona State University. In 1992, Frank assumed the newly created position of Director of Rehabilitation Services. In this role, he supervises all of the rehabilitation services including Orientation and Mobility, Rehabilitation Teaching, Low Vision Services, Social Recreation, and Orientation and adjustment to Blindness Services as well as the supervision of student interns from a variety of colleges and universities. He also coordinates the comprehensive rehabilitation program, which most of us know as PRIDE, for clients who attend as part of their Vocational Rehabilitation program. Part of his responsibilities involve assuring that all agency clients are connected with the appropriate rehabilitation services that will empower them to live more independently, productively, and meaningfully. Frank and Chris, his wife of 33 years, have raised two children who are now adults and living on their own in Phoenix.
